The 2021 Visual Arts Centre is opening up their annual arts and sculpture exhibition to once again this year! Get involved in this fantastic opportunity to exhibit and sell your artwork in Scunthorpe's free visual arts centre.
Cygnet INK is offering their members a chance to be included the exhibition by covering the cost of submission, printing, framing, delivery and insurance of all artwork completely free of charge.

A prize of £500 plus a professionally produced artist-profile video, and an opportunity to exhibit at 20-21 will be on offer for the winner.
Runners-up will receive cash prizes sponsored by local businesses. For the first year we will be offering a cash prize for our visitors’ favourite in our Visitors Choice award.

There are two classes for submission:
Class I: Painting, printing, drawing, photography and digital media (sound or video etc).
Class II: Sculpture, ceramics, 3D works and works measuring over 2m in any direction.
Submitting Class I artworks
Work must be delivered to 20-21, with a completed entry form (on the back of this leaflet) and payment, on Thursday 27, Friday 28 or Saturday 29 October between 10am and 4pm. Works in film or video should be supplied in DVD format, or by supplying a link to the work via an online video site such as Vimeo or Youtube.
Submitting Class II artworks
(Sculpture, 3D and oversize works) Work can be entered by sending up to six good quality photos or digital images, along with a completed entry form and payment to 20-21 by Friday 28 October. Cheques should be made out to North Lincolnshire Council. Selected Class II work must be delivered to 20-21 between the 2 and 5 November 2016.
Cygnet INK will cover all submission fees. If you are a student, proof of student ID will be required.
-Class I work must be either framed or on stretched canvas, with a means to secure the work with ‘mirror plates’.
-Large oversized works measuring over 2m in any direction should be submitted as Class II work (photographic documentation), please do not bring these works to the gallery prior to selection
-All works should be unpacked on delivery and the packaging taken away.
-Please remove all hangers and fittings from the back of artworks and mark ‘TOP’ on the rear of the work.
-‘Clip’ frames, metal or plastic frames are not permitted.
This year’s judges are Liz West (artist and co-director of Mark Devereux Projects) and Adele Howitt (ceramic artist and director of Studio Eleven Gallery, Hull).
