Biography:

Amanda is a Freelance Illustrator and Comic Book Artist from Cambridge. Her most important concern within her work is narrative, and the ability of a piece of artwork to communicate ideas and stories effectively.

She draws her inspiration not only from the picture books of her childhood, with illustrators Pauline Baynes and Margery Gill as formative influences, but also from the contemporary comics scene. Artists working today such as Lucy Knisley, Glyn Dillon, Kate Brown and Dan Berry provide inspiration in making books that are not only beautiful, but effectively tell their stories.

She’s currently working on a short- form comic titled “The Legend of Eider Penmagli.”
